Before doubling:-

R= 50 ohm

l=l

A=A

we know that, (R=l/A)

Therefore, (50=l/A)__[equation (i)]

After doubling:-

R= p(2l × 2)/A

R= 4(l/A)

R= 4(50)____ [from equation (i)]

R= 200 ohm

The new resistance is 200 ohm.
