Given :

  • Volume of hydrogen gas = 44.8 L at NTP
  • Temperature at NTP = 293.15 K
  • Pressure at NTP = 1atm

To find :

Number of hydrogen molecules present

Formula used :

  1. PV = nRT
  2. Number of molecules = Number of mole × Avogadro's Number

Here,

  • P = Pressure of gas
  • V = Volume of gas
  • n = number of mole of gas
  • R = gas constant
  • T = Temperature of gas

Solution :

First of all we need to find number of mole of hydrogen gas present

By using ideal gas equation,

 \sf \implies \: 1atm \times 44.8L \: =   \: n \times 293.15 \: K \times 0.082 \:  {atm} \: L \:  {K}^{( - 1)}  {mol}^{ (- 1)}

\sf \implies \:  \: n   =  \dfrac{ 1atm \times 44.8L \: }{293.15 \: K \times 0.082 \:  {atm} \: L \:  {K}^{( - 1)}  {mol}^{ (- 1)}}

\sf \implies \:  \: n   =  \:  \dfrac{ 44.8 \: mol}{293.15 \times 0.082 \:   }

\sf \implies \:  \: n   =  \:  \dfrac{ 44.8 \: mol}{24.04   }

\sf \implies \:  \: n   =  \: 2.03

Now by using Formula we will find number of molecule of hydrogen .

➝ Number of molecules = 2.03 × 6.02 × 10²³

➝ Number of molecules = 12.22 × 10²³

➝ Number of molecules = 1.222 × 10²⁴
