NUMBER OF MOLES=GIVEN MASS/MOLAR MASS
MOLAR MASS OF CARBON=12g AND
GIVEN MASS =60g
⇒NUMBER OF MOLES=60/12
                                      =5

Given:
Given mass of carbon=60g
molar mass of carbon=12g
moles=?
Formula to be used :
Number of moles=Given weight / molar mass
                           =60/12
                            =5 moles
∴5 moles of carbon are present in 60g carbon
