Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Concept of modulus |x|

The modulus of any number gives only postive value.

Examples :-

  • |-3| = 3
  • |5| = 5

\\

Now we have to find a rational number between \frac{-2}{7} and |\frac{-2}{7}|

Here using the concept of modulus.

|\frac{-2}{7}| =\frac{2}{7}

Now we have to find a rational number between \frac{-2}{7} and \frac{2}{7}

\setlength{\unitlength}{1cm}\begin{picture}(0,0) \thicklines \qbezier(-.3,5)(0,5)(4.5,5) \multiput(0,4.9)( 1,0){5}{ \line(0,1){0.2}}\put(0,4.5){$\frac{-2}{7}$}\put(1,4.5){$\frac{-1}{7}$}\put(2,4){$\frac{0}{7}$} \put(2,4.5){\bf{0}}\put(3,4.5){$\frac{1}{7}$} \put(4,4.5){$\frac{2}{7}$}\put(-.3,5){\vector(1,0){5}} \put(4.5,5){\vector(-1,0){5}} \put(1,3){\boxed{\sf{@LetsHelp123}}}\end{picture}

*See the attached image.

The rational number between \bf\frac{-2}{7} and \bf\frac{2}{7} :

= \dfrac{\textsf{Sum of given rational numbers}}{\sf2}

= \dfrac{\sf{\frac{-2}{7}+\frac{2}{7}}}{\sf2}

=\sf \dfrac{0}{2}

= 0

Given  :   -2/7  and  | - 2/7 |

To Find : one rational number between:

Solution:

-2/7  and  | - 2/7 |

| - 2/7 | = 2/7

Hence

-2/7  and  2/7

Few rational numbers in between

-1/7  , 0/7  , 1/7

Hence few rational number in between -2/7  and  | - 2/7 |  are

-1/7 , 0 . 1/7

There exist infinitely many irrational number between two distinct rational numbers

Hence answer is -1/7 , 0  , 1/7
