Friction plays an important role in our daily life.
lt is acting all the time around you. It helps you in many ways :-
DISADVANTAGES OF FRICTION :-
♣ Tyres of vehicles wear out due to constant use. because of continuous friction between tyres and roads the grooves of tyres disappear and tyres become smooth. this may cause serious accidents.
♣ the friction between branches of tress which rub against each other, forest fire occur.
♣ friction produces heat, the engines of cars and other machinery , therefore, becomes very hot after running for sometime.
♣ due to friction of pencil , chalk while writting they gets smaller and smaller.
similarly, continuous use of eraser makes it smaller.
♣ Friction reduces the speed of moving vehicles to a great extent.
♣ you have might seen while white washing the houses, the painter uses sand paper , this sand paper is worn-out and becomes smooth due to its repeated use.
♣ In factories, specially you have seen where machines are used all the time, parts of machines rub against each other becomes hot and wear out quickly.
