Government has launched many schemes for the economic development of the people of the country. 

One of them is the Sukanya Samridhi scheme under Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign for taking care of education and marriage expenses of girl child. 

Another scheme is Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY) under which people living below poverty line or BPL are given health insurance coverage at very nominal cost.
