Activists of Sarpa Mitra-Friends Of Nature, rescued a venomous Krait snake and an injured Crested serpent eagle in Uran on Sunday. The Crested serpent eagle is a media sized bird of prey found in the Indian subcontinent and tropical forests. It has a sharp  long-distance eyesight, and often feeds of snakes on the forest ground, hence its name.....

Sarpamitra or Friends of snakes are volunteers who are self-trained and possess the skill of handling snakes by watching different programs on the internet and television.

They have well equipped themselves to capture snakes and rehabilitate them with the help of the forest and police department.

Whenever there is any emergency in any area, they immediately rush to that place and protect the snakes from being killed by the common people.

They do not expect any profit in return of their work but do it out of their passion for snakes.
