There is a government registered NGO in my locality with the name Bachpan.
The main work of this NGO is to provide the basic facilities to Orphan children and take care of their health and education.
Bachpan has its own school building which provides primary education to these children.
Nutritious food is given by the government's mid day meal scheme.
Immunisation camps prevent them from seasonal and communicable diseases.
There are many persons across the country who is intensively pouring their contribution in conserving the environment. Piyush Manush is one among them who made immense contribution to save nature and environment and made some unimaginable sacrifices in order to save the environment.
Piyush Manush, Tamil Nadu based environmental activist who is well popular for his act of condemning the Government of Tamil Nadu for its eight lane road project between Salem to Chennai which requires a vast area of agricultural and forest areas to be destroyed. On behalf of his frequent revolts and public awareness activities against the eight lane project Manush got arrested and charged with Non-bailable charges along with his two other activists. According to many reports there were many alleged tortures and solitary confinements were made to Manush when he was kept behind the bars. These are such sad news to get heard about an environmentalist who is hard working for justice.
Piyush Manush, the founder of Salem Citizen’s Forum is an urban environmentalist is also well known for his action of adopting a many lakes around Salem district of Tamil Nadu in order to conserve them from pollution. Simply, Piyush Manush can be termed as a single person against a whole government.
