Feudalism as an institution was buried by the Revolution, and the Church and the clergy were brought under State control. It led to the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte as the Emperor of France  It resulted in the decrease in the power of Church. The church taxes called Tithe were abolished. Churches were shut down and converted into offices. - It gave rise to a Constitutional Monarchy
