Uttarakhand flash flood is a result of very heavy rainfall and cloud burst on 16 June of 2013. Thirteen districts of Uttarakhand were affected by the flash flood. Four districts among the 13 were declared as worst affected. They are

According to the aftermath survey, it concluded that the debris that blocked the river bed and basins are one of the prominent reasons for the overflow of flood along with heavy rain and cloud burst. As per the statement released by the Government of Uttarakhand, nearly 5,700 people were demised as the result of that heavy flood.
