Solution :-

If we carefully see the pattern, there are 3 different series here. These are as follows.

6, 8, 7 ;  3, 64, 4 and 24, 48, ?

6 + 8 + 7 = 21 

3 + 64 + 4 = 71

There is a difference of 50 between sum of 2nd series and 1st series  

⇒ 71 - 21 = 50

So, sum of the next series will be 71 + 50 = 121

So, the next number in the series will be = 121 - (24 + 48) 

= 121 - 72 = 49

The required number in the series will be 49.

Series will be as follows - 6, 8, 7, 3, 64, 4, 24, 48, 49
