There are two kinds of taxes, direct and indirect.
Direct taxes are those which are imposed on a person and the burden of tax cannot be passed to the other person. For example, income tax. On the other hand, the taxes imposed on the sellers and they can easily pass the burden to the final consumer is known as indirect taxes. For example, sales tax. Moreover, the taxes can be paid in cash or in the form of labor services.
