Explanation:

a) CH₃ — •C(CH₃) — CH₃ is most stable among •CH₃ and CH₃ — •CH — CH₃.

This is because more alkyl groups are attached to the tertiary free radical (as alkyl groups are electron donating groups). This will stabilise the electron deficient carbon.

b) ⁻CBr₃ is most stable among ⁻CH₃ and ⁻CH₂Br.

This is because all the carbon atoms are electron rich and halogen groups are electron withdrawing groups due to their electronegativity. So, more number of halogen atoms attached, less be the negative charge and the carbon becomes stable.

c) ⁺CH₃ is most stable among ⁺CH₂Cl and ⁺CCl₃.

This is because all the carbon atoms are electron deficient. So, more the number of halogen atoms attached, more will be the deficiency and carbon will become less stable.
