Lack of rains during monsoon is a main cause for not being able to grow a good crop. The farmers spend a lot of money rented from moneylenders to buy seeds and fertilisers. When they do not get a good crop, they cannot earn money to pay back to the moneylenders, staying in debt forever. This is the main reason for current farmers' suicide.
