Escape Velocity is minimum vertical speed required to over come the gravitational pull of the earth and to leave it's orbit.

WHERE AS

Critical Velocity is defined as a speed of a falling object reaches when both gravity and air resistance are equalised on the object.

Hope this will help u....

Explanation:

The escape velocity from Earth is about 40,270 km/h (25,020 mph). The velocity of this orbit depends on the distance from the object to the center of the Earth. ... escape velocity is the minimum speed needed for an object to "break free" from the gravitational attraction of a massive body.

hope it helps
