AnswEr :

›»› The simple interest is Rs. 3000.

Given :

  • Principal = Rs. 10000.
  • Time = 3 years.
  • Rate = 10% per annum.

Find out :

  • Simple interest = ?

Solution :

We know that, if we are given with the principal, time and rate then we have the required formula, that is,

Simple interest = (Principal * Rate * Time)/100.

Substituting the given values in the formula,

→ SI = PRT/100

→ SI = (10000 * 3 * 10)/(100)

→ SI = (100 * 3 * 10)/(1)

→ SI = 100 * 3 * 10

→ SI = 300 * 10

SI = 3000

Hence, the simple interest is Rs. 3000.

Extra Brainly Knowledge :

Some important formulae of simple interest :

  • Principal = (Intrest * 100)/(Time * Rate).

  • Amount = Principal + Simple Intrest.

  • Principal = (Amount * 100)/(100 + Time * Rate).

  • Principal = Amount - Simple Intrest.

Some important formulae of profit and loss :

  • Profit = Simple Intrest - Cost Price.

  • Loss = Cost price - Simple Intrest.

  • Simple interest = Profit + Cost price.

  • Simple interest = Cost price - Loss.

  • Cost price = Simple Intrest - Profit.

  • Cost price = Loss + Simple Intrest.
