Situation :-

  • We have to take, The age of your , grandfather and father.

To Form :-

Linear equation between : -

  • Age of your grandfather and your age.

  • Your age and your father’s age.

Answer :-

Let my age be 20 ,my fathers age be 40 , & my grandfathers age be 60 .

Case 1 :-

Age of your grandfather and your age .

My age is 20 ,

My grandfathers age is 60.

➝ 20 = 60

➝ 20 = 3 (20)

Grandfathers age = 3 (My age)

Let my age be a,

The grandfathers age will be 3(a).

The linear equation of my age is a & my grandfathers age is 3a.

Case 2 :-

Your age and your father’s age.

My age is 20 ,

My fathers age is 40.

➝ 20 = 40

➝ 20 = 2(20)

Grandfathers age = 2 (My age)

Let my age be a,

The fathers age will be 2(a).

The linear equation of my age is a & my grandfathers age is 2a.

Answer:

Let the age of mine, my father and my grandfather be 25, 50, and 75 years respectively.

(a) Now, Age of mine = 25 years.

Age of my grandfather = 75 years.

This means my grandfather is thrice times older then me.

∴ Grandfather's age = 3 × My age

If my age is x (= 25) years and then my grandfather's age will be 3x years.

∴ Required linear equation is

Grandfather's age = 3x

(b) Mine age = 25 years.

My Father's age = 50 years.

It means my father is twice of mine age,

∴ Father's age = 2 × My age

Father's age = 2x

This is the Required linear equation of one variables.

Hope it helps.
