(iii) In the areas of less rainfall, it grows with the help of irrigation. (iv) It is grown in the plains of north and north-eastern India, coastal areas and the deltaic regions.

Wheat: Wheat is required at 15.5-degree centigrade. Rain-fall of Rice and Wheat - Rice needs a lot of rain.

Millet: Millet is grains that require less fertile soils. It needs low rainfall and high to medium warmth.

Cotton: Temperature 20 degree Celsius and sun shine for the growth of the crop. Rainfall: Rainfall between 60 to 100 cm, Well distributed throughout the year. Soil: Black clayey and loamy soils are favourable for the production. World Distribution: India, Pakistan, China, USA are important/major producers of cotton.
