Answer:

Let's take the first, ∆ABC

Area of ∆ABC = 1/2 × b × h

= 1/2 × 7 × 15

= 105/2

= 52.5

Then in ∆ACD

by heron's formula :

perimeter of ∆ACD= a+b+c

= 6+9+12

=27 cm

Area of ∆ACD = √{s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)}

= √{27 (27-6)(27-9)(27-12)}

= √{27×21×18×15}

= √68040

= 260.8

Total area of quad.ABCD=ar(∆ABC) + ar(∆ACD)

= 52.5 + 260.8

= 313.3 cm
