⭐In case of distance from my school to home then it is only 700 m away which is a walking distance .

If I convert it into km then it will be 0.7 km
If I convert it into cm then it will be 700×100cm
which is 7×10^4

So in my case it is convinent to use metre and km as a scale rather than cm .

Hey friend, here is your answer.
Approximately, the distance between my school and house is 1.5 km.
So, on converting it into metres
the answer would be = 1.5 × 1000 = 1,500m
And on converting it into centimetres
the answer would be = 1500 × 100 = 1,50,000cm
I prefer kilometre to be the most appropriate unit of measurement.
