We know that the greatest four digits number is 9999

And here in the qns. It is divided by 8,12 and 16

So now we make the LCM of these.

The LCM is 48.

Then we divided 9999 by the LCM 48.

And we have remained 15.

So we subtracted this remainder from the greatest four digits number and add with qns's remainder 2 that leaves in every case.

(9999-15)+2=9986 .
