first is x

second is (X+1)

now for example x is any no. you choose 1,2,3,4....

X=5

X+1=6

now apply prime factorisation .

we find 5=5×1

6=2×3×1

common factor in two terms is 1.

that term is common in prime factorisation is HCF and common term is one

HCF of two consecutive number is one .
