Environment Protection Act,1986

This act aims at improving the quality of environment by setting the standards for emissions and discharge of pollutants in atmosphere.

If someone tries to violate these discharge limits he/she will be imprisoned for 5 years with penalty of 1 lakh rupees.

2.Wildlife Protection Act 1972
