(1) CuSo4 °5H2O →

The atomic mass of Cu is 63 g.

The atomic mass of S is 32 g.

The atomic mass of O is 16 g.

The atomic mass of H is 1 g.

The overall atomic mass of CuSO4 .5H2O

= 63 + 32 + 9 × 16 + 10 × 1 = 63 + 32 + 144 + 10

= 249 g

(2) Na2Co3 °10H2O

Mass of Sodium=23grams

Mass of Carbon=12grams

Mass of Oxygen=16grams

Mass of Hydrogen=1gram

So, there is your solution:

Formula unit mass=Na2Co3.10H2O

=23×2+12+16×3+10(2+16)

=46+60+180

=286g
