Explanation:

atomic masses-

C=12

H=1

O=16

Molar mass of Glucose = C6H12O6

                                       = 12 x 6 + 1 x 12 + 16 x 6

                                      =72 + 12 + 96

                                      = 180

Percentage of C = 72/180 x 100 = 40%

Percentage of H = 12/180 x 100 = 7%

Percentage of O = 96/180 x 100 = 53%
