Hello dear,

● Answer -
Percentage of oxalate ions in salt = 66 %

● Explaination -
When oxalate salt is dissolved in water -
(C2O4)-- → 2CO2 + 2e-

Let x be weight of oxalate ions in salt.

As solution is completely oxidized with KMnO4,
Meq(Oxalate) = Meq(KMnO4)
x / (88/2) × 1000 = 90 × 1/20
x = 44 × 90 / (1000×20)
x = 0.198 g

Therefore, percentage of oxalate ions in salt
= 0.198 / 0.3 × 100
= 66 %

Hope this helps you...
