Given :

  • Base of triangle = 6.5 cm
  • Area of triangle = 26 cm²

To find :

  • The perpendicular length or we can say that the height of the triangle.

Solution :

As we know that,

Area of triangle∆ = base × height /2

Let's assume the Height or perpendicular length of the triangle as h.

A/Q

⇒ 26 = 6.5 × h /2

⇒ 26 × 2 = 6.5h

⇒ 52 = 6.5 h

⇒ 52/6.5 = h

⇒ h = 8

Therefore,

  • The perpendicular height of the triangle is 8 cm.

Verification :

Area of = h/2

Putting the value,

→ 26 = 6.5×8/2

→ 26 = 6.5 × 4

→ 26 = 26

Hence, both sides are equal.

Thus, solution is checked !!
