find out the point of intersection of the lines x - y = 3 and -5x - 2y = -22

Hey...!!!

We have,

x-y = 3

x = 3-y -------1)

And another one,

-5x - 2y = -22

i.e

5x+2y = 22 ----------2)

Putting value of x from 1) in 2)

5(3-y) + 2y = 22

15 - 5y + 2y = 22

15 - 3y= 22

15 - 22 = 3y

-7 = 3y

So....

y = -7/3

then 2x-2y=6. ~1

then second eq.

is. -5x-2y=-22 ~2

eq. 1 and 2 ko gtane pr

2x-2y=6

- ( -5x-2y=-22)

then~ 7x=28

___________________

then ~. x=4

by eq. 1st~. y=x-3=4-3=1

then point is

( x,y)=(4,1)
