Ever since the draft Education Policy has been introduced, the Union HRD ministry has been working over improving the education system in the country. On June 24, 2019 during a Lok Sabha section, Union HRD minister, Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank', introduced a number of reforms to imporve teaching sector in the country.

1. Subject wise learning
In order to focus on quality education, the Central rules to the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act, 2009 have been amended to include reference on class-wise, subject-wise learning outcomes. The learning outcomes for each class in languages (Hindi, English and Urdu), mathematics, environmental studies, science and social science up to the elementary stage have, accordingly, been finalized and shared with all states and UTs.
