Question 10
Q10) From the following observations, calculate density and relative density of a brine solution. Mass of empty density bottle = 22 g
Mass of bottle + water = 50 g
Mass of bottle + brine solution = 54 g
Solution:
Mass of empty bottle, M1 = 22g
Mass of bottle + water, M2 = 50g
Mass of bottle + brine solution, M3 = 54g
Mass of water = M2-M1 = 50-22 = 28g
Mass of brine solution = M3-M1 = 54-22 = 32g
Density of brine solution = \frac{Mass\ of\ brine\ solution}{Mass\ of\ water}=\frac{32}{28}=1.14\ g\ cm^{-3}
Mass of water
Mass of brine solution
