Various Application of Neutralization reaction:

Neutralization is the process through which interaction between acid and base leads to the formation of new compound called salt.  

This process is applied in the well-being of our body integrated with biology in the following way,

Tooth decay prevention:

• Consumption of high amount of chocolate and sugar compounds causes tooth decay. This process leads to release of acid which is neutrals by the base present in the tooth paste which is used for brushing daily.

Treatment of acidic soil:  

• If the soil is more acidic, it will not facilitate growth of plants. In order to remove the acidity of the soil, bases such as calcium oxide is added to facilitate neutralization reaction.

Gastric problem:

• Due to acidic problem irritation occurs in stomach. In order to cure this irritation, tablets composed of base such as magnesium hydroxide is used.
