It is given that,

Difference of two quantities is

30.

and ratio between them is 5/11.

Let x , (x+30) are two numbers.

ratio = 5/11 [ given ]

=> x/(x+30) = 5/11

Do the cross multiplication, we get

=> 11x = 5(x+30)

=> 11x = 5x + 150

=> 11x -5x = 150

=> 6x = 150

=> x = 150/6

=> x = 25

Therefore,

Required two quantities are,

x = 25,

x + 30 = 25 + 30 = 55
