Consequences for Deforestation :-

1. Absorption of harmful UV Rays which can cause damage to the human eye, due to the absence of a protective layer (ozone) due to excessive burning of fossil fuels.

2. Insecurity of wildlife, due to cutting down their habitats which can cause critically endangered species to become extinct.

3. Gradual increase in Earth's temperature.

4. More CO2 emissions. Exposure of toxic substances in air, which gives rise to acid rains.

5. A drastic change in the climatic conditions. Melting of polar ice caps.

  2. Effect of Climate change.
  3. Soil erosion due to surface run-off of water
  4. Increased green house gases in the atmosphere leading to global warming .
  5. Due to surface run-off of water , it can lead to frequent floods
  6. Loss of fertility of the soil leads to lesser crop formation.
  7. Loss of habitats for wild animals especially for those animals residing in the trees.
  8. Destruction of Homeland of various tribes.
  9. Loss of many indigenous /endemic species of Flora and trees.

All in all, there will be a devastating effect on the biodiversity of that region.
