Antibiotics means against life..
Here against life refers to the micro organisms

Generally antibiotics are prepared from the micro organisms itself by attenuating them,we derive the medicine or antibiotic which we require from them hence all micro organisms are not harmful some are beneficial too..
Antibiotics shouldn't be used in over amounts..Yess because our stomach and GIT is harboured with various organisms which are useful

When we take them in over amounts it becomes against the organisms present in our stomach..
So antibiotics when used in required amounts then they are useful but over usage leads to severe problems..
