Simply substitute the values :

•p+2q

=x+y + 2(2x-3y)

=x+y + 4x -6y

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

P = x + y

Q = 2x - 3y

To find:-

Find the value of P + 2Q ?

Solution:-

Given that

P = x + y

Q = 2x - 3y

Now ,

2 Q = 2×(2x-3y)

2 Q = 4x - 6y

Now,

The value of P+2Q

=> (x + y) +(4x - 6y)

=> x + y + 4x - 6y

=> (x + 4x ) +(y - 6y)

=> 5x + (-5y)

=> 5x - 5y

P+2Q = 5x - 5y

Answer:-

The value of P+2Q for the given problem is

5x - 5y
