Put the value of X in P(x).

Now,

p(3)=(3)^2-5(3)-6

9-15-6=

-6-6

-12

The value of p(x) is -12

p(x) = x² - 5x - 6 (given)\\

p(3) = 3² - 5(3) - 6

p(3) = 9 - 15 - 6

p(3) = 9 - 21

p(3) = -12

.°. p(3) = -12
