px^2-14x+8=0 a=p, b=-14, c=8,  Let one root of given eqn. =α Other root=6α Now, sum of roots=-b/a α+6α=-(-14)/p  p=2/α Product of roots=c/a  α*6α=8/p  p=4/3α^2  4/3α^2=2/α  α=2/3 So, p=3
