Answer:

Let the p as (box)

15 : □ : : 42 : 6

= □ × 42 = 15 × 6

= □ = 90/42

□ = 5

Therefore, p = 5

  • Value of p

 \mathfrak{  \large{\blue{ \underline{ \purple{  Solution: }}}}}

 \large{ \rm \longmapsto \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \frac{15}{p}  =  \frac{42}{6}}  \\

After cross multiplication,

 \large{ \rm \longmapsto \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: 42 \times p = 15 \times 6}

 \large{ \rm \longmapsto \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: p =  \frac{15 \times 6}{42}}  \\

 \large{ \rm \longmapsto \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \boxed{ \red{ \mathfrak{ p = 2.14}}}}

 \mathfrak{  \large{\blue{ \underline{ \purple{ Hence:}}}}}

The value of p is 2.14 ( Approx)
