Given that

Area of a square = 256 m^2

Solution

Let each side of a be x m. Then,

Area of a square = side × side

=> 256 = x × x

=> 256 = x^2

=> x = √256

=> x = 16m

Hence, the length of each side of a square is 16m.

Perimeter of a square = 4 × side

= 4 × 16

= 64m
