2+6=8.
2*6=12
p(x)=x2 - (2+6)x - 2*6
=x2 - 8x + 12 = 0

Let the quadratic equation be ->ax²+bx+c
and the roots be α and β.

Sum of two roots =α+β=2=-b/a

product of two roots =αβ=6=c/a

Therefore the required quadratic equation is
->x²-2x+6
