R = r1 +r2 =2+4=6ohm
1/R'= 1/R + 1/r4 = 1/6+1/8=7/24 ohm
R' = 24/7ohm (across 6 ohm)

V = IR
Total resistance R = 2+4+6+8=20 (series connection)
(40)=I (20)
I= 40/20
I = 2Amp
In series connection current flows through every resistance in same magnitude...

V across 6 ohm
V = 2 × 6
V = 12 Volts
