Question :-

If \sf t = \dfrac{rT}{g + r}, find r is g = 200, t = 3 and T = 7

Answer :-

Given :-

  • g = 200
  • t = 3
  • T = 7

To Find :-

  • Value of r

Solution :-

\sf t = \dfrac{rT}{g + r}

Substituting the values :-

\implies\sf 3 = \dfrac{7r}{200 + r}

\implies\sf 3(200 + r) = 7r

\implies\sf 600 + 3r = 7r

\implies\sf 7r - 3r = 600

\implies\sf 4r = 600

\implies\sf r = \dfrac{600}{4}

\implies\sf r = 150

Value of r = 150

Verification :-

\implies\sf LHS = t

\implies\sf LHS = 3

\implies\sf RHS = \dfrac{rT}{g + r}

\implies\sf RHS = \dfrac{150 \times 7}{150 + 200}

\implies\sf RHS = \dfrac{1050}{350}

\implies\sf RHS = 3

LHS = RHS

Hence verified.
