Question :-

  • Find range of f(x) = 2 - 3x, x belongs to R, x > 0.

Solution :-

\bf \:As \: x > 0

Multiply by 3 on both sides, we get

\bf\implies \:3x > 0

Multiply by - 1 on both sides, we get

\bf\implies \: - 3x < 0

Adding 2 in each term, we get

\bf\implies \:2 - 3x < 2

\bf\implies \:f(x) < 2

\bf\implies \:f(x) \: ∈ \: (- ∞, 2)
