Let f(x) = y, now compute value of x then find the domain of what we get in x. follow the step you will get it.

mod(x-7) = yx

x - 7 = plus minus (yx)

x( 1 (+ -) y) = 7

x = 7/(1 (+ -) y)

now we find domain of x.

y is not equal to 1 or -1, so range of function is R-{+1,-1}.

Note : symbol (+ -) means plus minus
