The velocity of sound in gases is inversely proportional to square root of molar mass.
ie . V = ( αRT/ M )^ 0.5 where α = Adiabatic Index, M = Molar Mass, T = Temperature
Therefore,
Molar mass of Oxygen = 16
Molar mass of Hydrogen = 1
Vel. in Oxygen / Vel. in Hydrogen = ( 1/16)^0.5 = 1 : 4
