Hey,

We have to obtain a rational number between two rational numbers.

The most simple and easiest method is mean method.

According to this, if a and b are two integers then  \frac{a + b}{2} is a rational number between them.
So,

Rational Number between -1/6 and -3/2
=  \frac{ \frac{-1}{6} +  \frac{-3}{2}}{2}
= \frac{ \frac{-1 - 9}{6} }{2}  \\  =\frac{ \frac{-10}{6}}{2}  \\ = \frac{-10}{6} X  \frac{1}{2}
=  \frac{-5}{6}

Hence, a rational number between -1/6 and -3/2 is -5/6.

Hope it helpss
