  • Finding Lhs First

 \frac{3}{8}

lcm = 40

 \frac{3}{8}   \times  \frac{5}{5}  \\  =  \frac{15}{40}

  • Finding rhs now

  • LCM was 40

 \frac{2}{5}  \times  \frac{8}{8}  \\  =  \frac{16}{40}

Here, we have to increase the number ,in place of 5 we will take the number 10..

  • we increased it because there was no more rational number between the following.

 \frac{3}{8}  \times  \frac{10}{10}  \\  =  \frac{30}{80}

 \frac{2}{5}  \times  \frac{16}{16}  \\  = \frac{32}{80}

now, you can write two numbers which are enough to.

 \frac{31}{80} and \:  \frac{32}{80}
