By Remainder Theorem :

g(x) = x - 1

→ x - 1 = 0

→ x = 0 + 1

.°. x = 1

__________.....

p(x) = x³ + 2x - 1

Putting the value of x

→ (1)³ + 2(1) - 1

→ 1 + 2 - 1

→ 3 - 1

→ 2

.°. When x³ + 2x - 1 is divided by x - 1 it leaves a remainder 2...
