In the given circuit , we are given two resistors of resistances 6 Ω and 30 Ω , which are connected in series and a battery of 9 Volts .

(a) .

When resistors are connected in series , Eq. resistance will be found by adding the individual resistances

➠  \sf{\orange{R_{eq}=R_1+R_2}}\ \; \bigstar

Let , R₁ = 6 Ω & R₂ = 30 Ω

So , Eq. resistance = 6 Ω + 30 Ω

➤ Eq. resistance = 36 Ω  \pink{\bigstar}

(b) .

Ohm's law states that , Potential difference in the circuit is directly proportional to the current passing in the circuit

➳ V = I Rₑ₉

➳ I = 9 / 36

➳ I = 1 / 4

➳ I = 0.25 A  \green{\bigstar}

(c) .

Potential difference across R₁ :-

V = IR₁

V = (0.25) (6)

V = 1.5 V  \red{\bigstar}

Potential difference across R₂ :-

⭆ V = IR₂

⭆ V = (0.25)(30)

⭆ V = 7.5 V  \purple{\bigstar}

formula \:  \: of \:  \: resistance \:  \\  \\ v =  \frac{r}{t}  \\  \\ v =  \frac{9}{36}  =  \frac{3}{12} =  \frac{1}{4} = 0.25  \\  \\ so \:  \: the \:  \: resistance \:  \:  \\ will \:  \: be \:  \: 0.25
