3 and 1/2

Step-by-step explanation:

quadratic formula =-b +- underroot b2 _ 4ac /2a

then,

b=-7 & a= 2 & c = 3

x =-(-7 )+- under root (-7 whole sq.) - 4×2×3 / 4

× = 7 +- under root 49 -24 / 4

×= 7+- under root 25 /4

x=7+-5 /4

7+5/4 = 12/4 = 3

7-5 /4 = 2/4 =1/2

Question:-

Find root of the Quadratic equation by Quadratic formula 2x² – 7x + 3 = 0.

Given:-

The quadratic equation 2x² – 7x + 3 = 0.

To Find:-

The root of the given quadratic equation by quadratic formula.

Solution:-

On comparing this equation with

ax² + bx + c = 0, we get

  • a = 2,
  • b = – 7 and
  • c = 3.

By using quadratic formula, we get

{ \boxed{ \sf \large \color{red}x =  - b± \frac{ \sqrt{{}b2 - 4ac} }{2a} }}

 \sf \large⇒x = 7± \frac{ \sqrt{{49 - 24}} }{4}  \\  \\  \\  \sf \large⇒x = 7± \frac{ \sqrt{{}25} }{4}  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:

 \sf \large⇒x = 7± \frac{5}{4}

 \sf \large⇒x =  \frac{7 + 5}{4}

 \sf \large⇒x =  \frac{12}{4}  \: (or) \:  \frac{2}{4}

 \sf \large⇒x = 3 \: (or) \:  \frac{1}{2}

Answer:-

{ \boxed{ \sf \large \color{blue} \therefore x = 3 \: (or) \:  \frac{1}{2} .}}

Hope you have satisfied.
